Applesauce Cake

I didn't find the recipe I was looking for so I changed one that was close and this is what I came up with;

3 cups flour
3 tsp baking powder
2 tsp baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tsp cinnamon
1 dash nutmeg
1 dash cloves

4 eggs
2 cups sugar
3/4 cups vegetable oil
1 1/4 cups yogurt
1 1/2 cups applesauce
1 tsp vanilla

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 10 inch tube pan (that's an angel food cake pan) I haven't tried but I'm sure a bundt pan would work or a 9 X 13 or 2 8 inch squares or a square and a round or muffins...

Stir the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and spices together and set aside.
Whisk the eggs in a large bowl, add sugar, oil, applesauce and vanilla. Add the dry ingredients, mix together and pour into prepared pan.

Bake in the preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely.

I think it would be great with walnuts stirred in, raisins or even cranberries.
