Kate made these and they are a hit. They are like those dreamy bars
1 cup butter1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1 tsp vanilla
3 cups rolled oats
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup peanut butter
Line a square pan with parchment. A 9x 13 works apparently but gives thinner bars.
Melt butter and brown sugar until the sugar has melted. Add vanilla and oats. Cook over low heat for 3 or 4 minutes until everything is well blended. Pour half of this mixture in to the pan, pressing down evenly.
Melt the chocolate chips and peanut butter together, stirring until smooth. Pour over the first oat mixture, reserving about 1/4 cup.
Pour over the remaining oat mixture, then the remaining chocolate mixture.
Refrigerate 2-3 hours or overnight.
