Sangria - originally posted on May 27/13

I've had Sangria a few times and wasn't impressed.  But that was a long time ago and it was when someone else made it for me.  I want to like it.  So I thought I'd try to make it myself.  And I love it!  Here's what I did;

1 bottle Barefoot cabernet savignon
1 Tbsp brown sugar
1/4 cup brandy
1/4 cup Cointreau
1/4 cup orange juice
1 apple cut up
1 orange cut up
1/2 cup frozen raspberries
Just mix it all up in a pitcher and put it in the fridge for a few hours.  Several hours is even better.  If it's for a party, make the Sangria first thing in the morning and let it sit in the fridge all day.  Serve it topped up with club soda.


Delicious and refreshing.
